IDENTITY

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Pen Store is a Swedish art supply company that started as a small store for a wide variety of pens. Since then they have grown to become one of Sweden’s largest suppliers of artist materials on the web.

With the ambition for further expansion followed a need for a broader toolbox. We saw the opportunity to inject a sense of exciting creativity and dynamism to the brand's aesthetic that would inspire and stand out from the masses.

The design system is based on a grid that can be used across applications. Nine secondary colors were carefully added to work in all possible combinations based on theme and season. The colors are also reflected in the art directed photography.

The rigidness of the grid together with the color scheme allowed for an identity that would enable a structured, yet creative expression.
